Beliefs

We are a gathering of disciple-making households in and around Asheville. We believe the Church is not another sub-culture, but the making of a new humanity. It’s not a building or a weekend activity, but a people. We strive to live out the the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the good news of the Kingdom of God.  We want to be used by God in His relentless pursuit to put the world to rights. Our prayer is as Jesus prayed, that God’s will would be done and His Kingdom would come in Asheville as it is in heaven.

We believe in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, and are committed to living out his teachings in the world. We hold to the historic teachings of Christian Orthodoxy as articulated in the Apostles’ and the Nicene Creeds.

The Bible is the Word of God
and our only infallible rule of faith and practice.

There is only one God
the Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and H
oly Spirit.

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man
He lived a perfect life on earth, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead and is now seated at God's right hand.

The Holy Spirit
convicts, saves, indwells and empowers Christians to live for Christ.

Salvation
is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

The true church
is comprised of all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Jesus will physically return
In the future, Jesus will physically return to earth as King.

Jesus commands all believers
to share His Gospel until He returns.
